Parts

A compact catalog of manufacturer references, expected outcomes and notes that help prevent incorrect combinations.

Reference policy

OEM and manufacturer part numbers are retained exactly as supplied. Cross-platform parts and adapted components require independent confirmation of electrical, mechanical and calibration compatibility.

11 compatible references
Justin's supporting-modification packages

Forced-induction essentials

Part-number references intended to improve fuel delivery, thermal control and ignition reliability when paired with the correct calibration.

03
Third generation

CS Turbo or VT Supercharger

NGK spark plugs
DILKAR8A8
NA CX-50 thermostat
PX8E-15-171
CX-9 fuel-pump module
PYFL-18561
Fab9 MCAL pump (CX-9)
PYFL-13350

Justin recommends these supporting parts for longevity and power, provided the calibration matches the complete setup.

04
Fourth generation

VT Supercharger

NGK spark plugs
DILKAR8A8
EcoBoost injectors
CM-5279 or EJ7Z-9F593-C
LC500 / GR Corolla low-pressure fuel pump
23221-31130 or 291200-1001
CX-90 fuel-pump control module
PXFV-18-561

Supporting fuel-system hardware for boosted E85 preparation and builds targeting more than 350 whp. Final capacity depends on the complete setup and calibration.

Supercharger reference

Belt, pulley and air-filter notes

Practical hardware observations for transverse 2012-2022 Skyactiv-G 2.0L and 2.5L supercharger kits without M-Hybrid.

05
Heavy-duty belt options

2.5L supercharger kit

1535 mm belt
K100604HD
Compatibility
63 mm compressor pulley
Modification
Cut four ribs
1520 mm belt
K060598HD
Compatibility
Both pulley sizes; no rib cutting required

A shorter, stiffer belt can reduce stretch and slipping when the load increases during an upshift.

06
Heavy-duty belt option

2.0L supercharger kit

1485 mm belt
K080585HD
Compatibility
Proven with both pulley sizes
Modification
Cut two ribs
Kit fitment
2012-2022 transverse Skyactiv-G 2.0L

Verify belt alignment, rib engagement, tensioner position and clearance before starting the engine.

Use these belt references at your own risk

Cutting belt ribs is a custom adaptation. An incorrect width, alignment or tension can damage the belt, pulleys or nearby components. Inspect the installation frequently and replace any belt showing fraying, glazing, cracking or tracking problems.

Smaller compressor pulley

Plan the installation before fitting the kit

01 Best approach

Install the smaller pulley before installing the supercharger.

02 Fourth generation

Fourth-generation 2.0L and 2.5L Mazda3 and CX-30 models provide enough access to change it with the supercharger installed.

03 Other 2.5L models

The ABS unit restricts access, except on the CX-50. An on-car replacement is possible but difficult and increases the risk of stripping the bolts.

04 Other 2.0L models

These generally provide more clearance between the supercharger and ABS unit.

Fourth-generation drop-in filters

Air-filter comparison

Pipercross
Foam; Justin considers it the lowest-quality option
BMC
Oiled; the hardest option to find
K&N
Oiled; easier to source and produces a higher-pitched whine
Wix
Paper; Justin's preferred option for filtration
AutoExe
High-flow disposable filter
aFe
Available as oiled and dry-flow drop-in filters

Compared with the paper filter, the K&N makes the supercharger whine clearer and higher pitched. Confirm the exact airbox and model-year reference before ordering.

Compatibility before modification

Parts Justin recommends avoiding

Some popular modifications can interfere with the calibration, reduce drivability or add mechanical risk instead of improving the complete setup.

Not tune compatible

Throttle boosters

Do not use any external throttle booster with Justin's tune. These devices alter the pedal signal outside the calibrated strategy and have previously caused electrical faults. Justin also reports worse fuel economy with them.

Crankshaft drive

Lightweight pulley sets

Justin prefers the stock crank pulley in almost every case. His observed lightweight setups lose rotational momentum between shifts and are more likely to throw a belt at high engine speed. Use a properly engineered damper only after confirming exact compatibility.

Exhaust sizing

80 mm is for turbo builds

Justin recommends an 80 mm exhaust only where a turbocharged combination needs the additional flow. On naturally aspirated and supercharged Skyactiv-G builds, excessive diameter can reduce cylinder filling and usable power when it is not matched to the valve-timing strategy.

Choose as a system

Intake, exhaust, pulley and pedal-signal changes must be declared before calibration. Do not assume that a lighter, larger or more aggressive part will improve performance on every engine.
